I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  2. Like iCal Sync, but with Open Support Data Interface instead of iCal

A plugin that talks to the Open Support Data Interface http://opensupporter.org/ in a manner parallel to the iCal Sync plugin.

  3. Auto enable: Add possibility to exept a certain category from being automatically expired

    Auto enable:
Add possibility to exept a certain category to expire automatically.
This is to have certain categories being valid continuously, and others to expire according setting.

  4. WooCommerce Product Variations

This plugin works well with WooCommerce simple products. But I really need it to work for variable products at the variation level. Hopefully other people realise this would be useful too. Thanks for listening!

  5. After expire, set product to "out of stock"-status

I want the product to still be listed in the shop after expire (not a "draft" since there are over 100K emails linking to the product). If I could get the status "out of stock" on a expired product it would be optimal for my business. The cart button is removed automatically on a sold out product, and that´s the same status as expired for us.

So please fix the option to change stock status to 0 (sold out) on expire!

  6. Change the post type on expiration

This is useful to archive the expired post in a completely different menu and list

  7. I'm not sure if you can already do this, but...

Could you have just one category replaced by another and leave any others unchanged? Such as replace "Public Event" with "Expired Event".

  10. add some hooks/actions/filters for customisability

Now that we have various new expiration options, I would really need to hide them in some way without modifying the core plugin file. i don't want authors to be able to create sticky posts etc by exploiting the plugin...

  11. Select default How to Expire option

Fantastic plugin and very flexible but would save time (and complexity for Contributors) to have a default How to Expire (selected via the Settings page) instead of having to select from the drop down list each time.

  13. Set expiration via PHP function (for when I'm auto-creating posts)

Would love to have a PHP function I can use to set/update a post's expiry settings from anywhere, like so: expirationdate_updatedate($postid, $args).

Reason being I have posts auto-create using save_post(). I can emulate your meta values but I don't think that actually schedules expiration.

I skimmed your code to see if there was already something like this I could call, but it seems to schedule based on the values of the meta box, which is hard to emulate from other places.

  14. WooCommerce : Disable purchase/add to cart functionality at specific time/date but keep product visible

Your plugin is a life saver in so many cases ... but this one is missing !!

A client wants some of his WC products (food menus) available until specific time/date is reached. Then the products shoud be visible without purchase/Add to cart functionality.

    Thanks

  16. Add a tag after expiration

    Hi,

I have a site where I use the Expired tag on all the expired posts. I use a plugin to remove all the tagged posts from the main page of the blog ...where I don't want them to be seen. Of course with this setup I have to manually check (every couple days) for all the expired posts and tag them ... which is very time consuming. I just started using Post Expirator plugin and now will move the expired posts to Drafts area. This way I can tag them all from the Drafts section. I hope that some…

  18. Hide Post Expirator in specific custom post type

    Great plugin, Aaron!

I was wondering if you could add filter to hide Post Expirator in a specific custom post type. I'd like to garant that some post types (created through CPT UI, for example) don't be set to expire accidently by the user.

  19. Custom Post Types

IN the plugin, choosing a post status to assign to the deleted post, all the choices your plugin provides are,

    Draft
    Deleted
    Private

I cannot use deleted, nor draft or private. I use those for other reasons on my site that manages event postings (a lot of them).

I created a custom post status type – “Expired”, just for the use of this plugin, but your plugin won’t list the status “Expired” because your post status list is hard coded and won’t draw from WordPress.

I can edit your plugin file to list it, but this makes unnecessary repetitive work…
